What impacts services and how are we dealing with this? Our services are impacted by a dollar that is being tugged at from increasingly needy causes. This is nothing new. We are dealing with it by utilizing many volunteers, being creative with our scheduling, being frugal, and budgeting well. What is changing in terms of demographics and economics? Demographics are changing. As a United Way Fox Cities agency, we serve any person with a chronic mental illness who resides in the Fox Cities area. We are challenged to reach out to those whom are not aware of our services. Most people have little knowledge or understanding of mental illness. How is Friendship Place, Inc. funded? We receive funding from United Way Fox Cities, grants, private in-kind contributions, and fundraising. How to help With community financial support (donations), Friendship Place can continue to provide informal counseling and regular face-to-face contact with staff to assist in problem solving activities. We continue to reach out and make a difference to people with chronic mental illness and encourage them to be more active, contributing members of our community. All donations are tax deductible. |
